Jacques Lavergne

Certified Sport First Responder & K-Taping Canada Instructor

Jacques “Coco” Lavergne is a sport physiotherapist from Québec City. A graduate from Laval University in Physical Education in 1979 and in Physiotherapy from the Medicine School in 1982. He is now counting over 30 years of experience, field and clinic.

Jacques started his career with the Québec Nordiques until the team moved to Colorado in 1995. During these hockey years, he had the opportunity to work with hockey legends, including the NHL All-Star Team that played the Soviet Hockey Team in 1987, and at then at four World Men’s Senior Hockey Championships with Team Canada

between 1989 and 1992. He has also been part of multiple sports medicine missions as a sport physiotherapist, including the Canada Games (winter & summer); several FISU Games (Turkey, Thailand and Russia); as well as the Francophone Games. Jacques is a reference for several winter sports athletes, including ice hockey, alpine events, speed skating (short & long tracks).

 

Jacques runs a successful private practice in Québec City, and maintains a avid curiosity for all sports and musculo-skeketal problems, always seeking and looking for new avenues of treatment.
