Anita Lambert

Anita is a licensed physical therapist (pelvic and orthopedic health) specializing in women’s health, with an emphasis on prenatal and postnatal care. She is also a certified Pilates instructor and certified in acupuncture. She graduated from McMaster University in 2009 with an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. Anita is one of the few physiotherapists in Canada to have completed the Physiodoula course, which combines physiotherapy expertise with birth doula support, and now attends this professional course taught in Canada.

Growing up as a ballet dancer and athlete, Anita has always been fascinated by how the body moves and heals. Her love of sports led her to become the therapist for the McMaster University women’s rugby and basketball teams. She completed her Pilates rehabilitation course during her last physiotherapy clinical placement in Brisbane, Australia, while working with semi-professional ballet dancers. She brought this knowledge back to Toronto to begin her career in physiotherapy, including becoming an on-site physiotherapist for the Jorgen Ballet of Canada.
